Meet Josh Kail

Western Pennsylvania born and bred, Josh Kail is a leader who shares our values, respects our traditions, and believes in our future. A husband, father of six, and resident of Beaver, Josh and his family live, work and attend church in the 15th district.  He has long understood the need to control taxes while modernizing education, to put an end to job-killing overregulation, and the need to apply common sense solutions to our state’s problems.

Josh has promised to bring integrity and professionalism to the state House.

A graduate of Geneva College and Regent University School of Law, Josh Kail has built a solid record of private-and-public-sector achievement. He works as an attorney representing small and midsized businesses and has lent his hand to work as a solicitor for various boroughs along with service for Beaver County’s Children and Youth Services.

“I plan to be a salesman for my district, showing companies that the western Pennsylvania work ethic is unmatched, and its people the best fit for new industries,” Josh says.  "Whether its about local jobs, making sure our children are educated for new industry, or fighting the opioid epidemic, this campaign is about one thing: keeping families together. For far too long we have exported Western Pennsylvania talent to the rest of the country. It’s time we focus on what unites us and keep moving forward in the 15th district."

Chief among his goals is to build on the region’s burgeoning energy sector, which has brought thousands of jobs to Pennsylvania and promises to multiply that number with the arrival of the Shell petrochemical plant in Beaver County.  Leveraging the new infrastructure and industry to encourage other business to enter the local market is a top priority for Josh.

But new industry brings new demands in education. That’s why he remains a strong advocate for expanded education in the STEM fields – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Josh understands that to ensure a stable future for our children and grandchildren a “one size fits all” approach to education will not work.

“Every child is different,” he says. “Giving students and parents more choice in talent development will make our kids more valuable entering the local job market, and offer more fulfilling and well-rounded lives.”

Pro-Second Amendment, Pro-Life, and Pro-Jobs, Josh Kail will work in Harrisburg to protect personal liberty. Josh is committed to changing the culture of the Capital by bringing western Pennsylvania values to Harrisburg.

I-70 is collapsing due to the recklessness of the coal industry…what are you going to do? Save your Coal endorsement at the expense of the 10s of thousands of people that use that road to get to work everyday? or fix the recklessness?

    Josh,

I was not too happy with our last state representative, who has done nothing to help escalate the need to improve rural broadband. Our neighboring state Rep. Pam Snyder has made some progress, but she needs help.

I am an executive for DELL Technologies, and our company, like many, have moved to a “work from home” program. I have NO office to go to. I rely on broadband to communicate with my global peers daily.

This is been an ongoing struggle as our DSL lines are old and slow. I submit complaints to the PUC at least once a month. So often that the PUC told me to stop complaining (no kidding).

Outages are frequent and weeks of downtime. Our backup plan is wireless data which can sometimes cost me over $800 / month. This is unfair as less than a mile from my home is Comcast, providing Gigabit speeds for a fraction of what I pay for my horrific DSL.

Several of my neighbors are also professionals and often work from home. The need for improvements of broadband for rural PA residents is huge. I fear loosing my job, or worse, making a decision to sale my farm and leave my home over broadband, because my livelihood relies on it.

We are going to the polls to vote next week and this is one of my biggest concerns as it truly effects me and my family.

I would love to hear your take on this concern and I’m always willing to discuss this with anyone willing to listen.

I am a constituent and I am concerned with the corruption that is running rampant within Harrisburg. I am hoping that my representatives will take steps to take corruption out of politics. Clean Money Squad PA has a site that identifies those running for office that are committed to fixing the system. I hope to see you formally endorse and work towards passing the American Anti-Corruption Act and it’s provisions at the local and state level. You may sign on following the link provided, https://cleanmoneysquadpa.org/. I hope to see your name listed amongst the 74 (and counting) other candidates that are committed to fixing the system. Thank you and best of luck!

Josh thank you for stopping by my home early last month and for sending me a thank you note about our chat. Being a disabled resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania it has not been easy to obtain the items I need to be safe in my home. I have been waiting for 19 months for a ramp so I can exit and enter my home safely. I am also waiting since April for grab bars and a shower installation so bathing will no longer be a fall risk for me.
If elected, I hope you will take the physical needs of disabled PA residents seriously and try to increase our $22.10 a month disability payments which were reduced under former Gov. Ed Rendell to an amount that will actually assist in making life easier.
Good luck in your run for State Representative and if you ever wish to visit me again, you are more than welcomed to do so.

I will vote straight democratic this year, a first for me. Trump has destroyed my interest in voting for those I believe might be most qualified. Trump has destroyed all the values I believe in—civility, listening & HEARiNG what other people believe. He believes only in himself, which means he would like to be a dictator, with people that swoon over him. It is sad to know I may throw well qualified Republicans under the bus.
